FAQ’s
How are you paid?
The companies for whom we recruit pay us. Our fee is often based on a percentage of the new hire’s annual compensation. We like to get creative, though, so don’t assume we bring the same old recruiter bag of tricks.
Why should I use your services when I have an HR department and a Monster account?
Most of our clients have both of those resources and more. Resume databases or online ads are good at generating hundreds of responses for open positions and can be valuable where strict, objective hiring criteria (often true in technical hires) must be met. HR departments are usually overwhelmed by this volume and use us to cut through the noise.
More importantly, we sell your position, your company and your culture. If software could sell, if ads could sell, you wouldn’t have sales people. Since you do, it shouldn’t be too much of a leap to understand that having a team of seasoned professionals selling your opening offers you a distinct advantage to resumé mills and process-driven departments.
You should use us to sell your job. You should use us when you need to hire A+ talent quickly. You should use us if your HR department has too much to do. You should use us to keep your hiring managers focused on the jobs you hired them to do. You should use us for strategic hires. And you should use us if your standards are so high or your requirements are so unique that no one else has been able to meet them.
How quickly can you find someone?
Our quickest placement, from search contract signed to offer extended, was two weeks long. That hiring manager responded to our submission within hours, not days, quickly interviewed the candidate, arranged travel for a face-to-face interview within 24 hours of the 1st phone interview, and extended an offer within 48 hours of the face-to-face interview. The biggest single factor in the speed of the placement is the responsiveness of our client.
Are we too small to use a headhunter?
No company is too small. We’ve hired employee #3 before. In fact, employees in small companies play such a huge role in the success of a business that our value proposition is particularly strong there.
I’d like to get into the Education Technology industry. Can you help?
Possibly. Keep in mind our clients hire us to find hard-to-find employees with deep industry expertise and because of this our focus is on meeting our clients’ requirements vs moving a candidate through industry changes. However, we’re always happy to talk and probably will have a good networking suggestion or two for you!
