Responsibilities:
- Research members of the academic leadership at top colleges and universities
- Customize marketing messaging for an account-based marketing approach
- Field inquiries and initial responses for buying intention and interest
- Prospect new potential customers
- Nurture warm and potential prospects through relationship building
- Schedule meetings or calls between prospective customers and sales executives
- Deliver regular reports to the rest of the sales team and the VP of Growth and Product Strategy
Required Experience/Skills:
- 3+ years experience in business development and/or lead generation, preferably in higher education edtech
- Confidence and maturity to contact and work with senior and executive level higher education leadership, i.e., Presidents,
- Provosts, Deans, and Directors
- Experience in Salesforce or other CRM software
- Proficiency in Office 365, Google suite, web-based presentation tools, & video conference tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills via phone, Slack, and email
- Proven creative problem-solving approach
- High emotional intelligence
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Self-starter
- Willingness to learn and grow
- A positive attitude and aptitude for fun
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, English, or a similar field
- Prior experience or demonstrated interest in EdTech and/or education
